Since 1998, The Literacy Connection has held an annual Trivia Bee competition to raise funds for adults and families that need assistance acquiring basic fundamental literacy skills that include but are not limited to reading, writing, and speaking English through one-on-one, group and workplace tutoring. The annual Trivia Bee fundraiser is a morning that includes continental breakfast, raffles, trivia and networking.

Even more, with the generous support of many businesses and teams, it allows us to continue providing services to people like Gerardo age 44, who through this program has improved his conversational, reading and writing skills with the English language. An even bigger accomplishment is that after encouragement from his volunteer tutor, he is now enrolled in a local community college program. He is excited to see what doors will be opened once he obtains his degree.
